I decided to write a post with some screenshots as it changed quite a bit.. and I have to say it’s becoming sexier at every update they make. And it’s becoming VERY social, as you can connect it with Failbook and MySpace in a few clicks (you get prompted to do so).

And that’s about it, I think it’s what’s changed. I didn’t see the OneCare options for antivirus checking of received files so maybe that’s been removed (I hope so).

I also can’t seem to find where to change my nick (as you can see it’s nasal Kovac which was my nick + my surname and I’m really not sure where to change this, no option in the options but a button that connects me to the profiles.live.com page… whooot).

So that’s about it, download it and try it out. There’s also the apatch patch ready for it, which I’m trying to install now.

If you are using Windows 7 and WLM (it comes with the Windows Live Essentials 2009) and you are reading this, it means that the fact that Messenger minimizes only to the taskbar instead of going into the traybar is bugging you.

There is a very simple trick to overcome this stupid thing. Follow these simple instrunctions.

1. Quit WLM (right click -> close)
2. Find WLM in the start menu (All programs – Windows Live – Windows Live Messenger)
3. Right click on it and click on Properties
4. Go to the compatibility tab
5. Click on “Run this program in compatibility mode for:”
6. Select Windows Vista
7. Click on Ok and start WLM.

It should now normally minimize to the tray.

The new Plus! edition, fully compatible with Windows Live Messenger 2009, is finally out!

This version includes more than 500 updates and most of them (as I noticed) in the skin section of the addon.

Go on and download it, it rocks.

Today I got the notice that a new version of messenger is available. In my opinion this is the cutest design of messenger ever, a slight difference from the previous beta in the contact list and chatbox but a completely new sign in design and some other little changes.

I don’t know about the compatibility with Plus! but something is working and something is not. Apatch however is compatible.

I’m a little late but..

The Beta version of the most used Windows Live Messenger addon, Plus! is now public. Some of the changes are: better compatibility with the Yahoo messenger contacts, full compatibility with Windows Live Messenger 9 Wave 3 and more. Read the full changelog here.

How to remove this virus:
After installing, the virus creates two files on your computer:

C:\Windows\updater.com
C:\Windows\admintxt.txt

To remove it, you must delete both files. As it also makes sure to start up when you boot your computer, you must also remove the entry from the startup list. A guy in his blog suggests Startup Control Panel, but if you don’t want (or can’t) install new software on the machine, go to:

1. press start menu -> run -> type “msconfig” (without quotes)
2. go to the startup tab
3. uncheck updater.exe

Restart your computer and hope it’s cured!

I guess it’s a new virus, so if you get it, don’t fall for it.

It opens up a page like YouTube with a warning on the top that you don’t have Flash installed. If you click there, you are linked to an .exe file which i guess contains a virus.

Kaj je novega v tej beti?

Lahko uporabljamo animirane slikice, katere lahko snemamo direkt iz naše web kamerce in podobno, nov dizajn (v pogovorih so slikice premaknjene na levo stran, menu je na vrhu in sporočila se začnejo s kroglico), novosti v listi kontaktov, so dodali grupo priljubljene, noter lahko dodate uporabnike s katerimi se najraje pogovarjate.

MSG Live! Plus in Apatch zaenkrat Å¡e ne delujeta.
